CHAR: A Private Whiskey & Pairing Experience at La Olde Mill Cigars

Whiskey enthusiasts in Northern Virginia will have the opportunity to experience an intimate and educational tasting event when La Olde Mill Cigars hosts CHAR: A Private Whiskey & Pairing Experience on March 21.

Designed for guests who appreciate craftsmanship, culture, and thoughtful conversation, the evening will feature a guided exploration of premium whiskeys paired with curated dinner bites in the lounge setting of the Lake Ridge cigar establishment.

Participants will take part in a comparative whiskey tasting designed to refine the palate and deepen appreciation for the nuances of different expressions. The experience will also include sensory education to help guests better identify aromas, flavors, and the characteristics that distinguish exceptional whiskey.

The evening will feature special guest Troy Hughes, co-founder of Mt. Pleasant Club Whiskey and author of Makers & Shakers: A Hidden History of Black Americans in Booze. Hughes is known for highlighting the overlooked role Black Americans have played in shaping the spirits industry.

With limited seating, the event is intended to provide an intimate environment where guests can enjoy whiskey, conversation, and culinary pairings.
